Workin' on #3

#3 on my 101 list is to run a half marathon. And thanks to Clark's aunt, I actually started training for one. She's always recruiting people to run in races and to run in general. A local marathon club was starting up, and at first I wanted to do it but then reality hit. I didn't want to actually run 13 miles! I hadn't been running as much as I should and I thought it might just kill me, but she didn't let me talk myself out of it. I came up with all kinds of excuses of why I shouldn't train for one, but she didn't let me get away with any of them. :) So, I am officially training for a half marathon. I haven't picked one for sure, but I'm looking at the Cardston half - it's local which is great because the end of May is going to be super busy for me with my job and starting on our house building project. Clark's lucky aunt is running one in San Diego and getting a nice long girl's weekend out of it. Some day! :)

The marathon club takes the thinking out of it for you, which is great because it's easier to do it when you don't have to plan it out yourself - you just show up on Wednesdays and Saturday and they tell you where to run. It's a little hard to get out of bed early on a Saturday morning and make myself run in the cold, but once I'm out there it's great. Yesterday we did 4.5 miles and it was actually really good! I had to ice my knees after (dang IT bands) but I feel great today.
